Extruded
Extruded
Extruded (Extrusion) heat sink is a common and popular process. Aluminum rode is being forced into a die mold under high temperature and extruded to the customized shape. The integrated structure won’t cause any loss of thermal conduction and offers better thermal dissipation than unintegrated heat sink. High fin density boosts thermal performance and secondary treatment like CNC precision machining refines critical flatness and roughness.
Extruded heat sink is widely used in various ranges due to aluminum’s unique physical characteristics. It’ provides the product with strength, ductility and conductivity. Copper is inappropriate for this process otherwise.
