DC Blower
 

 
Fan, a significant part of active cooling, plays the role of circulating airflow for heat convection. We generalize DC fans in two categories, axial fans and blowers, with a distinct operating difference. Axial fans create a parallel airflow to the axis of the fan blade. Blowers, instead, send air in a perpendicular direction in relation to its axis.
 

 
 
Structure
The design of a DC blower has a unique appearance like a squirrel cage. In this enclosed cage, it contains a circular impeller which creates direct airflow under high-pressure conditions. It has a more concentrated airflow in which the equipment pulls air in from the sides and forces it out at a concentrated 90º angle. This design enables a DC blower to provide airflow at a high flow rate and static pressure. The structure allows a DC blower to use low rate airflow again high pressure and vice versa (high rate airflow against low pressure).

 
Specification

Zaward offers a wide range of DC blowers in various bearing types, motor speed and dimensions with options of PWM or frequency generator output signal (see spec below). The input voltage is 12V and with durable plastic (PBT UL 94V-0) material for both impeller and frame.

Application

With the character of high impedance from back pressure, a DC blower is often used in cleaning appliances, drones, medical equipment, projector equipment, office automation, robotic and IH heating systems, as well as network servers and telecommunications systems. With the special cage design, it can handle dust, material or corrosive fumes environment too.
