Automotive thermal solution- DC Fan & Heat Sinks

 
Following the previous newsletter, other than the DC blower, we will dig deeper into the thermal management for automotive.
 

| Infotainment System

 
A system that provides both driver and passer information and entertainment, such as Media (FM/HD radio, TV), communication, maps, and more. To maintain the stability and long-term operation of this multi-function system, good thermal management should be taken in at the early design stage.

 
 DC fans , extruded and die-casted heat sinks can effectively be implemented into this limited space for optimal system performance.
 

 
 | Car Air Purifier
Industrialization and urbanization are causes of air pollution. Demand for car purifiers have been surging thanks to growing health awareness. In a confined car space, fresh air is essential also to avoid PM2.5 from outside.
 

Adopting suitable DC fans in air purifiers can expeditiously improve the air quality, remove allergens and odors, prevent the unpleasant smell from lingering, and any possible adverse health side effects.

DC-DC Converter

 
DC-DC voltage converter converts the source of DC from one voltage level to another. Heat generates during the process of charge and discharge, resulting in the high temperature of the closed ambient environment of the converter. Well-designed heat sink enables rapidly dissipating heat, avoids crash risk, and optimizes performance, power storage, and device reliability.

 
| ADAS System
Sensors of ADAS transmit data to the processor to generate information for the driver to steer the vehicle to avoid dangerous conditions such as anti-collision, lane drifting, night vision, adaptive front light, and more. To prevent human negligence, the actuator will be activated automatically for deceleration or emergency brakes to protect the driver.

ADAS sensors and systems require power-intense IC to speed up data processing, while thermal solutions of DC fan, heat sink, and liquid cooling, take away the heat factors for smooth system operation.
