Dear Partner,
As one of the leading thermal solution providers in Taiwan, we would like to introduce you various heat sink processes. In the field of heat sink, there are 9 most common processes.
These are:

This time, please allow us to introduce you Extrusion, Skiving, Forging, Bonded Fin and CNC Machining processes.

Extrusion:
Aluminum material is extruded according to customized shape. It’s a common and mature technique in the market nowadays. Its integrated structure won’t cause any loss of thermal conduction. The ability of thermal dissipation is better than stamping process. For the material, only Aluminum could be accepted, copper would be inappropriate.

Skiving:
It’s implemented with a cutting tool to slice the metal material into thin pieces. Its integrated structure and thin fin could maximize the thermal dissipation area. Both Aluminum and copper are acceptable. However, the height of heat sink in this process and the shape are limited.

Forging:

This process is an integrated structure, and mostly we adopt “cold-forge” process. We insert the material of Aluminum alloy into the tooling by high pressure. By cold forge, through this process, we can produce heat sink with accurate dimension, strong surface and reliable structure. And the fin could be made higher, so that the area of thermal dissipation is expanded. One of the classic application is in field of LED.

Bonded Fin:

It is combined with two parts, Base and fins. We use thermal grease with high quality to connect and attach the different 2 parts. By this process, the fin height is not so strictly limited. And the benefit is, it brings wider area to enhance the thermal dissipation effect. Mostly be used in industrial devices.

CNC Machining:

By Computer Numerical Control machine, it can calculate precisely and then cut the metal material into your wished shape. The benefits are highly automatic operation, save cost of tooling. Also, the restriction of shape is not so strict. The application is mostly in the field of telecom or good out looking cases

Next time we will introduce the rest of processes. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
