Chinese New Year is approaching (from 18th to 23rd Feb.). According to Chinese zodiac, now is the year of horse, the following one is goat. Actually, the year of zodiac begins with rat, then ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and the twelfth is pig and then the cycle goes on. The most popular Chinese New Year greeting we use in the year of goat is ” 羊 年 行 大 運 ”. “ 羊 ” means goat. The whole sentence means “may the year of goat bring you great fortune.” Hopefully, good fortune will find our doors. |

Last time we talked about some of the processes, Extrusion, Skiving, Forging, Bonded Fin, and CNC Machining. This time, we would like to introduce Die-Casting, Stamping and Friction Stir Welding Processes, and LED heat sink.
Die-Casting:
The material is melted at high temperature and becomes liquid status; then we pour it into the mould. After cooling down, the product could be finished easily. We will take good care during the cooling process to avoid the bubble occurs. There’s a wide range of shapes for heat sink in Die-Casting process. In addition, if the quantity is huge enough, the cost would be much cheaper.
Many complicated metal components are produced by this process.

Stamping:
Aluminum material got pressed by machine as customized shape. Nowadays, the Stamping heat sink is widely used in CPU, notebook and memory module. Simple process with low price; ability of thermal dissipation is little limited.

FSW (Friction Stir Welding):
Under the limitation of cost and engineering factors, the design of large aluminum Extrusion heat sink sometimes couldn’t achieve the goal of high heat dissipation. To overcome this, FSW, this high-effective and new welding technology were implemented by fixing two or more large aluminum Extrusion heat sinks to get more space to contact with the heat source and reduce the temperature, so that the over-heat problem could be solved.

LED lighting:
We are able to produce heat sink made by different processes in various applications.
For example:
Fluorescent light, bulb light, downlight, spotlight, track light, ceiling light, stage light, high bay light and street light.
Our process ability:
Extrusion, Forge, Die- Casting, CNC Machining, etc.
