Mounting Fan by Rubber Pins

  1. Hold the rubber pin head and pull it through the fan screw hole from outside of the chasis, until it is kept in position.
  2. Fix the rubber washer on each rubber pin from inside of the chasis against the chasis wall.  This helps absorbvibration between chasis and fan.
  3. Align the fan holes with the rubber pins, install the fan from inside of the chasis by pulling each end of of the rubber pin, until the fan is secured.

Mounting Fan by Rivets

  1. Hold and position the fan whereas mounting holes are aligned with the chasis screw holes on chasis.  (check direction of air flow during fan installation)
  2. Mount the screws with Phillips screw driver from outside of the chasis, until all the screws are secured inside the fan holes.

Fan Plug Power Connection

Connect the 3 pin fan plug to motherboard fan socket.

3 pin

Connect the 4 pin PWM fan to motherboard fan socket.

4 pin

  1. Connect the 3 pin fan plug to 3-4 pin adapter cable.
  2. Connect them to PSU power socket.

Caution

  1. Switch off the power while installing the fans to preven the electric shock.
  2. Keep hands dry during installation.  Wet hands could cause electric shock or computer malfunction.
  3. Install the fan under normal voltage.  Installing the fan out of the operating voltage could cause fire hazard.
  4. Do not modify the fan to avoid fire hazard or electric shock.
  5. Do not touch the running fan.  This could hurt your fingers or cause fan malfunction.
